The City of Harrison has worked closely with Energy Alliances to establish a cost-stabilizing program for electricity. This program is known as aggregation. For the term August 2023 to August 2025, Energy Alliances has secured a price of 6.68 cents per kWh supplied through Energy Harbor.
All City residences located within the service territory of Duke Energy and are automatically enrolled in this cost-saving program. Residents can opt-out by July 13. Instructions for opting out are provided in a letter sent to those households and a sample of that letter is available here.
Energy Harbor LLC is certified by the Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) as a competitive retail electric service provider to sell competitive retail electric service to customers in the State of Ohio utilizing the existing transmission and distribution systems.
A website dedicated to Harrison's aggregation program provides more details, answers frequently asked questions and provides phone numbers to call for assistance.
